Get beginner gears in Malangdo and access to Malangdo dungeon

Quest Summary

The quest begins when you accept a warp from your 1st job change NPC or use the warper NPC to travel to Malangdo and speak to the Malangdo Guide. Along with a series of short introductory lessons, you will be given beginner gears, matchsticks, 1 hour Boarding Halter and Beelzebub's Wing, and access to Malangdo dungeon.

Step 1: Rest and Save at the Inn

Start the quest by speaking to the Malangdo Guide (malangdo,159,135). You will first be directed to rest and save at the local inn for full buffs, ensuring you are prepared for your adventure.

Step 2: Campfire Training

After saving and resting at the inn, visit Captain Purrlock (malangdo,283,228), who introduces the Campfire System. Use a Matchstick to create a campfire, sit near it, and speak to Captain Purrlock when you're full HP and SP again.

Step 3: Gear Distribution

Visit Scout Nyanpa (malangdo,191,162), found on the ship in the center of the map. You will receive your gear and be instructed to head back to Captain Purrlock.

Step 4: More Essentials

Captain Purrlock will provide you with a temporary Boarding Halter and Beelzebub's Wing (both lasting for 1 hour). Purrlock also explains key game features, such as the warper system, option re-rolls, and Hunter’s Assurance.

Step 5: Pouring Hunt

To complete your training, Purrlock tasks you with hunting 10 Pourings to test your combat readiness. The pourings can be found in Malangdo dungeon, which you will now be allowed to enter. Upon returning to Purrlock after completing this task, you are rewarded with 3 Old Coins.
