Beelzebub Wing
Quest Summary
Professor Alistair enlists your help to recreate Beelzebub’s legendary teleportation wings, requiring you to gather various materials and consult with Historian Zephyr and alchemist Mira for a powerful shard. Upon returning to Alistair, he demands a hefty 25,000,000 zeny to complete the project, citing previous "failed teleportation experiments." Once paid, you receive Beelzebub Wing with a disclaimer (or is it a warning?) that any glitches are totally not his fault.
Step 1: Quest Start
Find Professor Alistair in a secluded spot just north of Geffen tower (geffen 116, 130). "Adventurer! Perfect timing. I've been working on a project that could change how we travel forever! You've heard of Beelzebub, the demon fly? His wings are legendary, capable of unlimited teleportation. After his wings were torn in battle, fragments were left behind, still brimming with his chaotic energy. I'm trying to recreate those wings-but I'll need your help."
Step 2: Gathering the Materials
Professor Alistair provides a list of required items to begin his experiments:
50 Fly Wings: Without these, we might as well be walking everywhere. You have some lying around, right? Of course, you do.
20 Honey: Sweet, sticky, and oddly magical. Perfect for stabilizing chaotic energy.
5 Evil Horns: Demonic resonance is crucial. Also, they make great wall decor if this doesn't work.
1 Glass Bead: Glass Beads are straightforward. Just don't buy the ones from that shifty merchant in Morroc Bazaar. They crack faster than a novice's confidence in Glast Heim
1 Necklace of Wisdom: This isn't just a fancy accessory-it's crucial for aligning the magical frequencies. I tried using a cheaper alternative once, and let's just say I still smell smoke when I think about it.
After collecting the items, Alistair furrows his brow in thought. "These materials are perfect, but we're missing something crucial: knowledge. Beelzebub wasn't just powerful; he was unpredictable. His energy was as chaotic as a wizard trying to multitask spells. If we're going to replicate his wings, we need someone who understands the chaos-someone who has studied his legacy."
Step 3: Finding Historian Zephyr
Speak with Historian Zephyr (yuno 362, 310), a scholar in Yuno known for his knowledge of demon lore. "Beelzebub, the demon fly... a creature whose power was matched only by his hatred of order. Do you know why his wings were so special? They weren't just tools for flight; they were his will, his essence. Even when ripped from him, they refused to decay, scattering his chaotic energy across the world. But to harness that energy, you'll need an artifact tied to him: the Shard of Beelzebub. It's said to hum with residual energy, drawn from the demon's defiance. If you can obtain it, you might just unlock the secret to recreating his wings. A wandering alchemist named Mira is rumored to have the shard. She's... eccentric, to say the least. You'll find her in Juno, in a southwest building. Be prepared for some unusual requests-she doesn't part with her treasures easily."
Step 4: Acquiring the Shard
Find Mira, the wandering alchemist. She is inside a build in south-west Yuno (yuno_in01 14, 103). "The Shard of Beelzebub? Oh yes, I have it… or at least, I think I do. I collect so many strange things, you know! But I don't just *hand* away my treasures. Bring me these items, and the shard is yours:
3 Rune of Darkness
1 Crystal Mirror
3 Flame Hearts ("They're warm and toasty-perfect for my experiments, and maybe my hands during winter!")"
Once you deliver the items, Mira hands over the Shard of Beelzebub and adds: "This shard hums with power. Handle it carefully-it's said to resonate with the essence of the demon himself. Good luck, adventurer!"
Step 5: Completing Beelzebub's Wing
Return to Professor Alistair in Geffen with the Shard. He's ecstatic: "You found it! The Shard of Beelzebub! This is the missing key-the essence that ties everything together. But before I can finalize the artifact, there's one last detail…" Alistair smirks mischievously: "Crafting this masterpiece requires 25,000,000 zeny. Look, I know it sounds like a lot. But consider this: I once tried teleporting without proper equipment, and let's just say my eyebrows weren't the only thing that vanished. It's better to do this the right way.
After paying the fee, Alistair triumphantly hands over the artifact: "Behold, Beelzebub's Wing! A marvel of demonic relics and modern ingenuity. Use it well, and remember: if it glitches, it's not my fault."
Quest Reward
Beelzebub Wing: Teleports you randomly on a map without being consumed.
